Niles North Beginning of season...

This school-year is a huge year for Niles North Chess. With one of the best all-around teams in state we hope to make a big run at state and come away without getting upset. We are led by our Superstar National Master Eric Rosen, Saagar Gupta, Fedya Titov, and Michael Chinitz; all highly rated players. Our bottom is structured by Tom Valente, Evan Speigel, Chad Hirsch, Adil D, Qazi, Ben Marks, Justin Braddy, Evan G.

We now need to focus on our weaknesses. Board 5-8. We want to win our games with them, and enforce it with our top boards. We would like to make every game 68-0. That is our goal. We want no excuse at state. We don't want to be the Chicago Cubs. We want don't want to be the Yankees. We want to be the Patriots.

Frosh David Paykin won $750 at Midwest Class
Sophomore Eric won $400 at Midwest Class as well
Eric Rosen won $1300 at US open along with winning against a GM and drawing against one.

surprising you should say your boards 5-8 are weaknesses, our board 8 is around 1000. but it'll be shs and nn next year, don't know who will win though, a lot of close matchups
