Hey guys,

Sorry for not posting in a very long time. Since my last post we have already had 2 meets and a major tournament. Here are some of the highlights.

Midwest Class 2007

This tournament was held at the luxurious Doubletree Hotel in Oak brook. A number of chess players from Niles North attended including Glenko,Fedya,Mike(No clues),Oscar, Igor, and myself. Oscar and Igor had a great tournament, both scoring 4/5 points. Oscar made $100 and went from 1359-->1421'; Igor made $175 and went from 1582-->1612. The sophomore's did okay, but I feel like they do not take these 40/2 SD1 tournaments seriously. All together I think our team did very well. Also I didn't do too bad either. I won $700 in the Masters section and went from 2057-->2124. I think with these kind of results from our chess team, we might have a good shot at maybe top 10 in state.


Meet 1- Niles West
Our first meet we swept.. 68-0



Meet 2 - GBS
We scored 43-25 I think. GBS played very well, and put a good fight. We lost on boards 2,4, and 8.


Upcoming plans?

We have a meet this Friday versus New Trier.

Also this coming weekend we are going to the Bloom Trail tournament.
